New exhibition brimming with ideas for food manufacturers, distributors and retailers July 7, 2011 News BRAND-new event TO showcase products and services for chilled and frozen foods. The event features two exhibitions – the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Show and the Frozen & Chilled Foods Show – that will be co-located at Peterborough’s Exec exhibition centre on 14 and 15 September. With over 80 of the industry’s major players expected to exhibit, the event is set to showcase a wide range of products and services to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the cold supply chain. “Visitor pre-registration is going extremely well,” commented Rob Fisher, Exhibition Director, “so this launch show looks set to be highly successful.” Schmitz Cargobull joins growing list of exhibitors The show’s organisers are delighted that Schmitz Cargobull, the German powerhouse that is Europe’s leading trailer manufacturer, has signed up to exhibit. As well as having a stand within the show, Schmitz Cargobull will exhibit two key products in the external display area – its MKO rigid refrigerated box vehicle and its SKO refrigerated trailer, both of which are manufactured at the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities in Europe. VISITORS TO BENEFIT FROM A WEALTH OF NEW IDEAS Visitors to the shows will be able to experience a very broad range of exhibits designed to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the chilled and frozen food sector. These will include forklift trucks, refrigerated storage and transport systems, cold chain 3PL services, pallet racking, cold store construction services, industrial lifts and loading systems, mobile computing solutions, temperature monitoring and recording equipment, trailer rental, food industry doors, warehouse cleaning products, industrial flooring and walling, lighting and packaging. Live demoS and free seminars The event will feature a special area for live product demonstrations – allowing visitors to see products such as forklifts in action – plus a free and highly educational seminar programme featuring key topics and trends in the cold supply chain. There will also be a café area for networking and members of the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) will exhibit in a special ‘FSDF village’. Networking DINNER Taking place at the end of the first day of the show, the TCS&D Dinner will make a welcome return after a break of some 15 years.
