The company operates some of the most up to date equipment available and specialises in the movement of temperature controlled fresh and frozen foodstuffs that require temperatures between minus 30 degrees Celsius to plus 30 degrees Celsius. Some trailers are equipped with dual temperature capability to allow two separate product temperatures and improve vehicle utilisation, as well as meat hooks and rails for the transport of fresh hanging bone-in meats.

All vehicles are fitted with a state-of-the-art satellite tracking system, which is supervised remotely from the company’s transport office at Girvan. This allows ‘real-time’ tracking of P & C Hamilton’s vehicles so that its customers can obtain accurate information regarding the whereabouts of their consignments.

The company is able to offer bespoke services to ensure the collection and timely delivery of product to distribution points within the UK and throughout Europe, with its solid sided trailers with Maple ‘Slam-Lock’ locking systems and real time tracking allows for the transport of high value consignments.

Regular services include twice weekly runs for chilled goods (palletised or hanging) from Scotland to the Midlands, London and South-East England. There are also weekly services from the UK to France, Belgium, Holland and Italy for chilled (palletised or hanging), frozen or a mix of both, from one pallet to a full load of 26 standard pallets or 33 euro pallets. Recent additions to the fleet are trailers equipped with the Euro Rail system.
