Sullivan Design specialises in the design and project management of food processing facilities, often partnering with a small group of businesses and individuals to tailor services for a client’s needs and more importantly their budget!

The company was first launched back in 1976 by Larry Sullivan, designing specifically for the food industry. It has since undergone several management and ownership changes but with the current partners Will Wright and Matthew Cartwright, still retains its food industry focus. At Sullivan Design, extensive design and food project management experience has been gained with a history of over 1200 projects for over 400 clients. Its reputation has been built on this success and has resulted in a high proportion of repeat business over its history.

Of course, a food factory is not something you build every year, and so it makes a lot of sense to have a partner who is familiar with best practice and who can save you money and ensure that the project is completed on time. When Will and Matthew successfully re-launched Sullivan’s last year, they got off to a flying start including a recently completed £3 million chill store extension for a leading dairy in Derbyshire and are currently working on a £5 million conversion of a factory to a snack meat products facility and a £1 million milk testing laboratory project. With enquiries beginning to arrive from old customers and some new ones, there are aspirations to build on this growth through 2012 and current enquiries include a further £4 million Dairy project and a £1 million production facility for ethnic sauces and pickles in the UK – there’s even one for a new 150km² chilled foods facility in the Middle East!
