Making a Fresh Connection

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) – CILT has joined forces with SCALA Consulting to endorse SCALA’s Fresh Connection competition and training courses in the UK.

The CILT, the pre-eminent independent professional body for individuals associated with logistics, supply chain and transport, has recognised the value and quality of the Fresh Connection as an innovative supply chain training and development tool.

Steve Agg, Chief Executive of the CILT, commented ‘The Institute is delighted to partner with SCALA on this exciting innovation. The Fresh Connection is an innovative programme for developing current and future managers at all levels in the industry and offers a unique platform to enable participants to extend their supply chain knowledge.

SCALA’s Fresh Connection competition will be running for the third year in 2012. Mars are the reigning UK Fresh Connection Supply Chain Champions and proudly represented the country in the 2011 International Finals, coming a very close second to Bavaria after a nail biting final round. The race is now on to see who will be the 2012 champions – with Mars determined to retain their title in the face of stiff competition.

At the UK Grand Final we’re expecting 300 participants alone, bigger and better than we’ve ever seen before. SCALA’s Fresh Connection Grand Final event will take place on 13th of June alongside other events at the CILT National Conference at Marriott Forest of Arden. Here teams will battle it out to become the new 2012 Fresh Connection Champions.
