UPM GIVE TOTAL VERSATILITY TO PLASTEK UK

Plastek UK who have been awarded Processor of the Year 2013 by the PIA focus on the design manufacture and decoration of packaging solutions for the personal care; cosmetics; pharmaceutical and food markets from a 180,000 square feet fully climatised factory based in Mansfield Nottingham with a range of injection and injection blow moulding machines and have engaged UPM Conveyors for automation of their product handling.

UPM Conveyors installed the first system for Plastek UK in 2005 and have now completed their third additional system. Total versatility of operation is provided via an HMI touch screen control for all products from injection moulding machines to be transferred to the fully automatic assembly and packaging machines without any manual involvement.

Mick Shaw, General Manager of Plastek UK, praised UPM for completing the project on time without any interruption to production and based on this on-going success UPM, who have been manufacturing in the UK for the past 38 years, have been awarded a further project with Plastek UK.
