KernPack signs exclusive distribution deal with Preferred Packaging

KernPack has become the UK’s sole distributor for packaging equipment manufacturer Preferred Packaging. The new agreement will see KernPack offering the Italian firm’s complete rangeof film packaging machines, shrink tunnels and solutions. Preferred Packaging is already well known throughout the world for its high-quality engineering and competitive prices with over 5,000 customers, including Del Monté, Coca-Cola, Tetra Pak and Findus.

Kern will be targeting food manufacturers that need to wrap products at speeds of up to 150 units per minute. Preferred Packaging’s machines can deal with a vast range of demands including shrink wrapping, modified atmosphere and vacuum packing. Many of company’s machines can use up to 100mm less filmthan similar competitive equipment, delivering major savings on consumables.
