LONDON, (June 2017) – Leffe, the quintessential Belgian abbey beer, is launching Leffe Enkel, a new beer inspired from the abbey’s past to be released to key on trade establishments across the UK this summer.

Leffe Enkel is a light bodied, rich flavoured abbey beer, that retains the classic Leffe characteristics of an easy-drinking connoisseur beer.

Inspiring beer lovers and enthusiasts to savour the moment, Leffe Enkel has a lower ABV of the Leffe beer lineup, making it the ideal mid-week drink, for those beer drinkers who are looking for a rich tasting drinking experience whilst staying in control. Its refreshing fruit and bitter spices pair excellently with grilled pork sausages, medjool dates and honey, as well as semi-hard cheeses such as Gouda and Manchego.

Born from tradition, Leffe Enkel is inspired by the traditional ‘single bier’ that monks of Leffe’s Abbey brewed to refresh themselves with after working hard in the field and kitchens.

Launching in keg only, Leffe Enkel taps into the growing demand for Belgian beer in the UK* and will be released alongside its own authentic Leffe chalice.
