Lincat introduce new, energy efficient insect control January 10, 2011 News Lincat, the UK’s leading manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, has introduced a new range of energy efficient insect control units. The new units, which use 70% less energy than conventional models, provide effective control of wasps, mosquitoes and other flying insects. The four new models also protect a wider area than their predecessors, providing more than double the coverage, ranging from 80m2 to 240m2. Three of the new units are equipped with energy-saving Ecolite™ tubes whilst the fourth, the IC10, is equipped with tubes which have an operating life three times that of conventional tubes. “Preventing the contamination of food by flying insects is a key concern for any kitchen and the penalties of failing to do so are extremely serious”, said Nick McDonald, Marketing Director of Lincat Ltd. “Our new models, which offer superior protection at a fraction of the running costs, are an ideal choice for any kitchen.” The new models feature non-clogging, powerful electric killing grids and deep collection trays which are simple to remove. Of solid, robust construction they can be wall mounted, suspended from the ceiling or used as freestanding units. Lincat Ltd manufactures one of the world’s most comprehensive ranges of catering equipment. Products are sold throughout the UK and in over 50 countries overseas through a network of international distributors. Lincat Ltd, together with its sister companies IMC Ltd and Britannia Kitchen Ventilation, form the Lincat Group plc.
