CENTRAL BEAN LAY DOWN A BLUEPRINT FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL SUCCESS March 25, 2011 News The North East chain of coffee shops, Central Bean, has joined forces with entrepreneurial Newcastle University graduate and this year’s winner of the Blueprint awards, Adam Soliman, 22, to become stockists of the fine tea brand, Charbrew. Central Bean, who place great emphasis upon serving the highest quality produce, believe that the aromatic tea, produced by Charbrew, is a perfect fit with its own exclusive brand of coffee for its customers. Adam, director of Charbrew, wished to pursue a career in investment banking after graduating in accountancy and finance, but finding himself in a time of economic uncertainty, decided to set up his own business. Adam started by selling his blends of black and herbal teas at farmers’ markets and smaller shops, but is now targeting the bigger retailers as potential stockists. Dave Patten, brand manager of Central Bean said, “We are delighted to be supporting Adam whose brand is both innovative and vibrant. The introduction of Charbew is a further example of how Central Bean is constantly improving its offering to customers by seeking out the highest quality products. We see great potential in him as a young entrepreneur, and believe that this partnership will be a successful synergy with numerous opportunities for expansion in the future.” In addition to the introduction of Charbrew, Central Bean has recently launched two speciality drinks due to public demand – a favourite with coffee purists; the ristretto is a shorter, sweeter version of espresso, and the classic Italian style dessert/beverage, the affogato. Central Bean, which operates a trio of coffee shops in Gallowgate, Jesmond and Morpeth, is intending to grow its business by responding to customer demands, but only when the time is right.
