NEWSMITH STAINLESS AQUIRES HILEY ENGINEERING

Automated cleaning and handling specialists Newsmith Stainless Ltd is announcing the acquisition of Hiley Engineering, manufacturers of conveyor distribution and product feeding systems, primarily for the food industry. The company, which becomes a subsidiary of Newsmith Stainless, will retain its name and the identity with which it has developed a leading international reputation over many years.

“We see this as an extremely beneficial alignment of complementary capabilities in a key sector in which both Newsmith Stainless and Hiley Engineering operate,” comments Steve Woffindin, Sales Manager at Newsmith Stainless. “There is a close synergy between our operations which will be of benefit not only to both brands but also, more importantly, to the full range of markets that we jointly serve.”

Hiley Engineering points to a focus on working closely with customers to meet precise installation requirements across the food, confectionery, cake and biscuit production sectors.
